Can I read Molecular structure and magnetic properties of a linear chain compound, Ru2(O2CCMePh2)4Cl on EtoBox?

Molecular structure and magnetic properties of a linear chain compound, Ru2(O2CCMePh2)4Cl by F.Albert Cotton; Youngmee Kim; Tong Ren is a Chemistry article available to read on EtoBox.

What is Molecular structure and magnetic properties of a linear chain compound, Ru2(O2CCMePh2)4Cl about?

The linear-chain compound Ru2(02CCMePh2),C1 was prepared by reaction of Ru2(02CCH3)&l with 2,2\_diphenylpropionic acid. The compound has been characterized by X-ray crystallography and magnetic susceptibility measurements from ca 2 to 300 K. The chloride ligands bridge the dinuclear units into linear chains. The Ru-Ru', Ru-0 (carboxylate) and Ru-Cl distances are 2.2893(9), 2.030(5) and 2.5016(6) A, respectively. There is an antiferromagnetic electronic interaction between dinuclear units with J (coupling constant) = -10.9 cm-'. The magnetic moment of Ru2(02CCMePh2).+C1 at 300 K is 4.4 PLg, which indicates three unpaired electrons in each dinuclear unit.
