What is Clinical Signs of Dehydration Levels about?
Patients with mild dehydration of less than 4% have no clinical signs but may have increased thirst. Those with moderate dehydration between 4-6% have delayed central capillary refill time of over 2 seconds and increased respiratory rate. Patients with severe dehydration of 7% or more show very delayed capillary refill time of over 3 seconds, mottled skin, signs of shock like tachycardia and low blood pressure, deep and acidotic breathing, and decreased tissue turgor.
