What is Devonian Shale Reservoir Properties Analysis about?
This paper summarizes research on reservoir properties of Devonian shale from core and log analysis in West Virginia. Porosity and gas saturation measured from 121 core samples over 150 feet were higher than previously reported, averaging 4.5% and 32.4% respectively. Log analysis models were developed specifically for the Devonian shale and showed favorable comparison with core analysis results.
