About this document

Concept Mapping as Retrieval Practice by brandonbeckett1999 is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This study investigates the effectiveness of concept mapping as a retrieval-based task in biology classrooms, comparing study-based concept mapping (SCM) and retrieval-based concept mapping (RCM). Results show that while RCM produced lower quality concept maps, it enhanced elaboration activities and learning performance, albeit with higher perceived cognitive load. The findings suggest that RCM can be beneficial for student learning despite its challenges.
