What is Santa about?

Santa accidentally hits a pigeon while delivering toys on Christmas Eve in 2087 near Salt Lake City, Utah. Utah has a law giving birds the right of way, so the state police are notified and begin pursuing Santa in their Hennessey Venom GT at 270 mph. They calculate the rate of change of the distance and angle between their vehicles as Santa continues eastward at 3000 times the speed of sound and they close in from the west.
