What is Amine Treatment Process Overview about?
Raw gas enters an amine coalescer to remove liquids before entering an amine contactor. In the contactor, an amine solution absorbs CO2 from the upward-flowing gas. Rich amine exits the bottom and enters a flash drum to remove absorbed gases. It then flows through heat exchangers and into an amine regenerator. Here, heat and low pressure strip the CO2, producing a vapor stream and lean amine that recycles to the contactor.
