What is Zinc: Copper deficiency: case report about?

Copper deficiency: case report A 66-year-old woman developed copper deficiency secondary to zinc absorbed from her zinc-containing denture adhesive. The wheelchair-bound woman hospitalised due to a chief complaint of shortness of breath. She had history significant for gastric bypass (Roux-en-Y), coronary artery disease status post coronary artery bypass grafting, large haemorrhagic stroke with herniation, decompressive craniotomy, left hemiplegia, tracheostomy and percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy. Laboratory evidence showed a non-ST elevation myocardial infarction. She was using zinc-containing denture adhesive [dosage and route not stated]. Later, her left ventricular systolic function had improved from prior. Her Hb was 7.1 g/dL with mean corpuscular volume of 103 fL and red cell distribution width of 18.6. Other complete blood count parameters were normal. Reticulocyte count was 0.8%. Her laboratory work-up was not consistent with haemolysis. Her vitamin B12 and folate were normal. The woman required transfusion due to her anaemia. A bone marrow biopsy to ruled out myelodysplastic syndrome causing macrocytic anaemia. The bone marrow was normocellular with trilineage haematop
