Paul Richardson was diagnosed with oral cancer in 2005. He had surgery in August 2005 and then radiation treatments ending in early 2006. On the Sunday before his surgery, while preparing his house, he encountered an unusual experience with a white dove. The dove followed him inside his house and garage, staying for some time which surprised him as he had never seen a dove in the area before.
