What is Prevalence of Anxiety in Youths about?

This study aimed to determine the prevalence of anxiety disorders in childhood and adolescence in Brazil and validate a screening instrument called SCARED. The study surveyed over 1,000 children and adolescents aged 9-17 years old using the SCARED questionnaire. The results found anxiety disorders affected 15.7% of participants. Factor analysis supported the validity and reliability of the SCARED for screening anxiety disorders in Brazilian youth.
