Roy Adaptation Model is based on the belief that the human being is an open system. Responses occur through at least one of four modes-physiological-physical, self-concept-group identity, role function, and interdependence. The major stimulus leading to one of these behaviors is the focal stimulus. Adaptive behaviors that need support and ineffective behaviors are then analyzed.
