This study aimed to produce bioethanol from the microalgae Nannochloropsis gaditana cultivated in various municipal wastewaters. The microalgae were cultivated at 24 ± 2°C with f/2 medium for control. Bioethanol yields ranged from 70.3 ± 2.4 mg/g biomass to 94.3 ± 5.5 mg/g biomass, with the highest yield from 30% wastewater. These findings suggest that N. gaditana in different municipal wastewaters can be used for bioethanol production after disinfection.
