This study evaluates the safety and feasibility of a novel oxygen saturation imaging endoscopy system for assessing anastomotic integrity in a porcine ischemia model. The results showed that the system successfully captured tissue oxygen saturation images and confirmed the completeness of anastomoses without air leakage. The findings indicate that this technology could provide real-time assessment of bowel perfusion during colorectal surgery.
