Etruscan tular / Latin tellüs\* The Etruscan word tular has been elucidated äs 'boundaries, confines ' (cf. Trombetti 1928:160; Ribezzo 1953:105). It is interesting to look at its semantic relatives in other languages whilst the phonological characteristics of Etruscan and their historical relationship to those of other languages are still unsa,tisfactorily understood. This process will suggest its own phonological parentage.
