What is The Art and Science of Moth Hunting about?

Saturn moths bring colorful variety to the rainforests of Borneo, unlike many dull-colored moth species. Artist Joseph Scheer uses digital tools and scanning to capture stunning close-up images of moths, revealing their intricate colors, patterns, and shapes that are usually invisible to the naked eye. By leaving lights on at night and collecting the attracted moths, Scheer and his friend have identified over a thousand species just from one backyard in New York, helping to document local moth biodiversity.
