About this document

Turbocharger Differential Pressure Control by Aniruddha Dalui is a document available to read on EtoBox.

Power augmentation devices like superchargers and turbochargers increase engine power by raising the manifold pressure. A supercharger is an internal compressor driven by the engine crankshaft, while a turbocharger uses an external compressor driven by an exhaust turbine, capturing wasted exhaust energy. Both allow more fuel and air to be burned, increasing power. However, superchargers require extra engine power while turbochargers recapture wasted energy.
