What is Neonatal Upper GI Bleed Case Study about?

This document describes the case of a 4-day-old Filipino-Dutch female infant admitted for upper GI bleeding. She presented with poor feeding, lethargy, and three episodes of fresh blood vomitus. On examination, she was found to be febrile and lethargic with sallow skin, sunken fontanelles, and other dysmorphic features. Initial labs showed anemia. She was started on IV antibiotics and fluids. The leading differential diagnoses were early onset sepsis, vitamin K deficiency, and necrotizing enterocolitis.
