What is Acharya Dharmananda Kosambi about?
Acharya Dharmananda Damodar Kosambi was a prominent Buddhist scholar and expert in Pali language. He was born in 1876 in Goa to a Brahmin family. He studied Sanskrit and Pali, becoming ordained as a Buddhist monk in 1902. He worked to promote Buddhism and authored popular works on the life of Buddha. In 1947 at age 71, he ended his life through voluntary fasting over 30 days according to Jain traditions.
