What is Dr. William Gruezo: Taxonomy Expert about?

Dr. William S. Gruezo is a 68-year-old professor and taxonomist from the Philippines. He received his BS and MS from UPLB and his PhD from the University of Alberta. His research focuses on biodiversity inventory and assessment of Philippine plants, conservation of wild crop relatives, and biosystematic studies of Philippine lichens. He has published over 45 scientific papers and three books. Several new species have been named after him in recognition of his contributions to taxonomy.
