This systematic review and meta-analysis evaluates the predictive value of dynamic arterial elastance (Eadyn) for vasopressor withdrawal in critically ill adult patients. The analysis included five studies with a total of 183 patients, primarily diagnosed with septic shock, and found Eadyn to have an area under the curve of 0.85, sensitivity of 0.87, and specificity of 0.76. The results suggest that Eadyn is a reliable predictor for the discontinuation of vasopressor support without causing hypotension.
