This study investigates the control of catalyst deactivation in the CO2 reforming of methane using a Ni–Mg–Al catalyst. It was found that increasing the CO2/CH4 ratio reduces carbon deposition and sintering, with optimal conditions at a ratio of 2 and a specific space time. The catalyst demonstrated high stability at 700 °C under these conditions, making it suitable for high CO2 content feeds.
