What is Malaria Vaccine Uptake in Douala Caregivers about?

This study assesses the knowledge and compliance of caregivers regarding the RTS,S malaria vaccine for children under five in the Mambanda community of Douala, Cameroon. While awareness of malaria and the importance of vaccination is high, specific knowledge of the RTS,S vaccine is low, leading to an uptake rate of only 44.7%. The findings indicate a need for improved community engagement and education strategies to enhance vaccine uptake and compliance.
