What is Morphological Awareness and EFL Vocabulary about?

This study investigates the relationship between morphological awareness and vocabulary size among Iranian high school EFL learners. Results indicate that students performed better on lower frequency vocabulary levels and that there is a significant correlation between morphological awareness and vocabulary knowledge. The findings suggest that enhancing morphological awareness could improve vocabulary acquisition in EFL contexts.
