This study characterized the culturable bacterial diversity in sediments from a mangrove in Brazil. 238 bacterial isolates were obtained from sediment samples collected at different depths and locations over two seasons. The isolates were identified as belonging to the orders Vibrionales, Actinomycetales and Bacillales using ARDRA and FAME-MIDI analyses.
