What is Understanding Structuralism Concepts about?

Structuralism is a methodology that views elements of human culture as interrelated parts of a broader system or structure. It originated in early 1900s Europe from the structural linguistics of Ferdinand de Saussure, who argued that linguistic signs are defined by their relationships within language rather than intrinsic meanings. Structuralism was later applied to other fields like anthropology, sociology, and psychology. It viewed cultural phenomena as determined by underlying abstract structures.
