What is Quadricuspid Aortic Valve Evaluation via CCT about?

This study evaluated the morphological and functional characteristics of quadricuspid aortic valves (QAV) using cardiac computed tomography (CCT) in 11 patients. Results indicated that all patients had aortic regurgitation, with a high correlation between the regurgitant orifice area measured by CCT and the regurgitant fraction by cardiovascular magnetic resonance. The findings suggest that CCT is a valuable tool for comprehensive assessment of QAV anatomy and function.
