The preparation of the air-and moisture-stable complexes ($-R'C5H4)Zr-(CXJ-R)2, (R = phenyl, cyclohexyl, n-hexyl, 2,2\_diphenylethyl and 2-cyano-2,2\_diphenylethyl; R' = hydrogen, methyl) is described. Their physical and chemical properties point to the presence of the (R'C,H,),Zr gr6up and Zr-C-= a-bonds. The compounds were characterized by elemental microanalysis and by infrared, 'H NMR, and electronic spectroscopy.
