The study examined pregnancy outcomes in 396 pregnancies in SLE patients in Saudi Arabia. Pregnancies after SLE onset had significantly lower live birth rates and higher rates of fetal death and preterm birth than before onset. Adverse outcomes were more common in patients with lupus nephritis, anti-Ro/SSA antibodies, antiphospholipid antibodies, hypertension, and SLE flares during pregnancy.
