This study examined the association between pre-diabetes, diabetes mellitus (DM), and latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) among recently arrived refugees in Atlanta, Georgia. The study found that 31.3% of refugees had LTBI. LTBI prevalence was significantly higher among refugees with DM (43.4%) or pre-DM (39.1%) compared to those without DM (25.9%).
