What is Medición de Temperatura con DTS about?
DTS uses Raman scattering to measure temperature along the length of an optical fiber cable. As light pulses propagate through the fiber, they interact with and lose/gain energy from fiber molecules, producing Stokes and anti-Stokes signals. The intensity ratio of these signals depends on the local temperature. By measuring the backscatter time of these signals, DTS can determine the temperature at different positions along the fiber with high accuracy over long distances.
