What is Yoshi: The Lantern Maker about?

Yoshi was a lantern maker who wished he could be more than his humble station. One day after seeing the riches of a merchant, he wished aloud to be a prince. His wish was overheard by a magical creature who granted it, but Yoshi quickly grew dissatisfied with being a prince and wished to be the mighty sun instead. However, each new form Yoshi took brought new problems and dissatisfactions, as he soon learned that true happiness lies not in status or possessions, but within oneself.
