What is 2019 Smart Grid Conference (SGC) - Optimal Sizing of Floating Photovoltaic System Equipped with Hydrogen Tank and Battery ESS about?
Floating photovoltaic systems (FPVS) are introduced to the renewable energy industry recently. This new platform can be utilized for satisfying the loads which are close to water reservoirs. The primary goal of this study is to determine the optimum sizes of FPVS for satisfying a residential load demand as well as decreasing water evaporation from an open surface water reservoir. For keep the loss of power supply probability (LPSP) in a safe range, hydrogen tank and battery are employed as energy storage systems. Data are taken from Chah-nimeh lake located in Zabol region of Iran. The results show the proposed FPVS could meet the load under the LPSP constraint and saved approximately 724 m3 water during a year.
