What is Thermography Evaluation Strategy Proposal Due Moisture Damage on Building Facades about?
Research concerning the façade of a building involves a comprehensive review of the impermeability of building materials, in order to determine their maintenance and repair techniques. Usually, moisture generates different levels of deterioration and decreases the life cycle of buildings, however, quantifying the presence of moisture is an arduous procedure. This paper presents the development of a methodology to prioritize repair interventions according to the type of moisture present on the façade of the building. Firstly, through the use of infrared thermography, the qualification and quantification of the moisture present on the façades of the buildings is carried out, and, after that, using the prioritization matrix, it is possible to obtain strategies to safeguard the built heritage. The solution presented in this paper contributes to the evolution of a simplified procedure that makes it possible to prioritize the intervention considering the causes of the damages.
