The Baroque church of St. Adalbert, built in the late 17th century, replaced an earlier Gothic church with references dating back to 1429. Jesuits were brought in to manage St. George’s Church and established a Grammar School and College nearby. The original Marian column in Dolní Square was replaced in 1869 after being damaged fifty years post-construction.
