The Teacher Effectiveness Measure (TEM) is a new evaluation system that aims to provide fair, consistent, and transparent evaluations of teachers. TEM evaluates teachers based on student growth (35%), observations of teaching practice (40%), growth based on other factors (15%), stakeholder surveys (5%), and teacher knowledge (5%). It was developed with input from teachers and aims to provide feedback to help teachers improve. TEM will be implemented district-wide in the 2011-2012 school year.
