What is Legacy of Patrice Lumumba about?

Patrice Lumumba was a Congolese independence leader who became the first Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of the Congo in 1960. He sought to build a strong central government and unitary state, which made him controversial. Lumumba was cut down long before he could develop into a stable leader, and his death catapulted him into martyrdom for the liberation of Africa. He left a lasting spiritual impact and imprint on the continent in his short life.
