What is Geo-Grid Impact on Concrete Beam Strength about?

This study investigates the effects of geo-grid and conventional stirrups on the flexural strength of reinforced concrete beams with and without polypropylene fibers. Fifteen beams were tested under static bending to evaluate their performance in terms of flexural strength, energy absorption, bond-slip relationships, and moment-curvature. Results indicate that geo-grids do not perform as well as conventional stirrups and their effectiveness is limited when used with higher amounts of plastic fibers.
