What is St. Padre Pio: Life and Legacy about?

Padre Pio was born Francisco in Pietrelcina, Italy in 1887. As a child, he was sickly and decided at age 5 to dedicate his life to religion. He joined the Capuchin friars at age 15 and took the name Pio. In 1916, he experienced the stigmata and bore the wounds of Christ, which doctors could not explain. This increased his popularity greatly. Padre Pio went on to help thousands as a priest, build a hospital, and died in 1968 at the age of 81.
