What is Fractional Distillation about?

Fractional distillation separates the components or fractions of crude oil based on their boiling points. The main fractions are: liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), gasoline, kerosene, diesel, and fuel oil. Each fraction is useful - LPG is used for heating and cooking, gasoline powers vehicles, kerosene is used for lanterns and heating, diesel fuels trucks and machinery, and fuel oil is used for industrial processes and heating.
