What is Architecture for Multisensor Fusion and Integration for Diabetes Monitoring about?
A Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) comprises a set of sensor nodes may be in terms of hundreds or thousands in number spatially distributed autonomously for collecting data over a region for monitoring physical as well as environmental conditions [1]. Since, WSN serves for enormous applications, it cannot be limited to -Military applications, -Environmental monitoring like air pollution, forest fire, land slide and so on, -Medical Applications includes overall monitoring, location, etc., -Industrial Application such as functioning of a Machine, Data Center, Data logging. These nodes have different capacities and designed for application specific. Each node in the network has a transceiver unit, sensing unit, micro controller, external memory and battery Fig. 13.1. The ultimate objective of these nodes is to collect the data from the region where it is being deployed and transmit to sink node/gateway/base station. The node is smaller in size as well as functionalities offered because it has limited capacity in terms of processing and communication.
