A Piper PA-32-260 airplane crashed near Madisonville, Texas on June 13, 2021. The private pilot was fatally injured and five passengers suffered serious injuries. The airplane impacted trees approximately 680 feet from the runway during an attempted landing. Examination of the wreckage found no mechanical issues that would have prevented normal operation of the airplane.
