What is Jalen: Reaper-Patriots: Book Forty-One about?

watched as his father delivered another passionate sermon to his flock. That's what he called them. Flock. It seemed odd to Jalen. A flock was usually meant to describe a group of sheep. These weren't sheep. They were people. His arms flailed back and forth above his head, and then a fist slammed on the pulpit, making Jalen jump. His dad was sweating but wiped his brow and then gave a small wink to his son. It always made Jalen feel better to know that his father's impassioned speeches weren't directed toward him. The sermon today held particular interest to Jalen as it centered around Proverbs 10:2. Illgotten treasures have no lasting value, but righteousness delivers from death. It all seemed pretty severe to Jalen. His father was going on and on about burning in the fires of hell if you take what is not yours. Then he had a terrible feeling in his stomach. He borrowed his mother's canvas shopping bag for school because it was the day the Book Mobile was there. His father always gave him extra money when his grades were good to buy books. He bought seven books that day, but he hadn't returned the shopping bag yet. He would tell his father his error and immediately return the bag.
