What is High Court Ruling on Police Employment Case about?

The High Court of Tanzania ruled on Civil Case No. 14 of 2015, where the Plaintiffs, former police officers, claimed breach of employment contract by the Defendants. The Court found that it lacked jurisdiction to hear the case, as the matter fell under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Labour Division of the High Court according to the Labour Institutions Act. Consequently, the suit was struck out without costs, as the jurisdiction issue was raised by the Court itself.
