Characterization of gravitational theories by cumulative effects in free particles' motion and in the behaviour of clocks: M. Enosh and A. Kovetz. Department of Physics and Astronomy, Tel-Aviv University, Ramat-Aviv, Israel is a Physics and Astronomy article available to read on EtoBox.
What is Characterization of gravitational theories by cumulative effects in free particles' motion and in the behaviour of clocks: M. Enosh and A. Kovetz. Department of Physics and Astronomy, Tel-Aviv University, Ramat-Aviv, Israel about?
Kinematical properties of gravitation which are equivalent to the geodetic hypothesis of Einstein's theory of gravitation are looked for. It is shown that a generalized vorticity theorem, as well as the possibility of synchronizing adjacent clocks during a finite time interval, characterize Einstein's theory. Some work is done also to characterize special relativity.
