What is Wideband Circular Loop Antenna Design about?

A wideband probe-fed circularly polarized circular loop antenna is presented. The antenna achieves wideband performance by introducing a parasitic loop inside the original loop, which is driven by a feed probe. Simulations show that the 2 dB axial ratio bandwidth is increased from 6% for a single loop to 16% with the addition of the parasitic loop. Measurements of the antenna prototype confirm the wideband performance, with an axial ratio less than 2 dB across the entire 5 GHz UNII band.
