CATA Terms: Trained vs. Naïve Consumers by zaynebabid2000 is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This study compares sensory profiles of yogurt using two sets of check-all-that-apply (CATA) terms: one from trained panelists and another from naïve consumers. Results showed that terms from naïve consumers were used more frequently and provided better sample discrimination and reproducibility compared to those from trained panelists. The findings suggest that using consumer-generated terms can enhance sensory profiling and product evaluation.
