HyUrit is a feed grade urease inhibitor containing 10% acetohydroxamic acid that reduces ammonia generation. It inhibits the enzyme urease and slows the breakdown of urea in the rumen of ruminants, preventing ammonia toxicity. Animal trials showed HyUrit improved nutrient digestibility and increased milk production and feed efficiency in dairy cows. As a urease inhibitor, HyUrit can improve protein utilization and reduce feed costs.
