According to a new federal report, illegal drug use, alcohol use, binge drinking, and tobacco use among teens aged 12-17 in the US have declined between 2002-2013. Specifically, illegal drug use dropped from almost 12% to just under 9%, alcohol use decreased from almost 13% to 11.6%, and tobacco use fell from around 15% to under 8%. However, marijuana use increased, with almost 20 million Americans aged 12 and older being users in 2013 compared to around 6% in 2007.
