This paper presents a new passive islanding detection method for grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) inverters based on System Identification Theory. The method demonstrates effective detection of islanding conditions with an active power mismatch above 11% in under 0.504 seconds, while maintaining insensitivity to short-term disturbances.
