What is Poppy and War: A Reflection on Remembrance about?

The poem discusses poppies, which have come to symbolize remembrance of soldiers who have died in war. It asks who will grow and harvest poppies, and thanks those who have done so in the past. While initially seeming confused about what has happened, the poem recognizes that November has become a month to honor those who died in World War I and that their sacrifices have brought some healing over time.
