What is Understanding Virtual Vacancies in NEET about?
In Round 2 of counseling, any seat allotted in Round 1 that a candidate opts to upgrade will be marked as a virtual vacancy, allowing other candidates to fill choices for that seat. The virtual vacancy becomes a real vacancy only if the original candidate vacates or upgrades their seat. If a candidate is reallotted in Round 2, the previously allotted MBBS/BDS seat will be given to other candidates in descending order of merit.
